Honorable Portia Franz Kesolei serves as Delegate representing Ngeremlengui State in the House of Delegates of the Twelfth Olbiil Era Kelulau, where she currently serves as Chairperson of the Committee on Housing and Development. She is committed to advancing policies that reflect the needs and aspirations of her constituents while promoting sustainable development and community well being throughout the Republic of Palau. Prior to her election, she served as National Program Support Officer with the International Organization for Migration in Palau from 2021 to 2024, where she led disaster risk reduction initiatives, collaborated with national and state agencies, and contributed to strengthening emergency preparedness and resilience.
Delegate Kesolei brings over twenty-five years of extensive experience in public service, having held a range of leadership and technical roles within the national government. Her experience includes serving as Special Assistant to the Vice President and Minister of Justice, as well as leadership roles within the Ministry of Health and the Environmental Quality Protection Board. Through her work across multiple sectors, including public health, environmental management, and policy development, she has developed a well rounded and practical understanding of governance. She continues to apply this experience in advancing national priorities and supporting the sustainable development of her community and the Republic of Palau.
