The official website of The Senate
Welcome to the Senate of the Republic of Palau
As one of the drafters of our Constitution, I have had the honor of serving Palau since the very beginning of our Republic. Now in my third consecutive term as the President of the Senate, I remain deeply committed to the principles our forefathers enshrined — democracy, unity, and respect for our heritage. Throughout my years of service, it has been my mission to safeguard these values not only in word, but through action. I have long supported the Open Government Act and its goal of strengthening transparency and public trust. In that spirit, I initiated the development of the first official website for the Palau National Congress – a step toward ensuring that our people have greater access to the work of their legislative branch. Today, I am humbled to witness this effort taking effect, opening new pathways for civic engagement and accountability.
I have always believed that the strength of Palau rests in the voices of our people. As we move forward, I remain dedicated to ensuring that our democratic institutions continue to reflect their hopes, uphold our shared values, and honor the legacy entrusted to us.
