Honorable Ellender Ngirameketii serves as Delegate representing Ngiwal State in the House of Delegates of the Twelfth Olbiil Era Kelulau, where he currently serves as Chairperson of the Committee on Commerce and Trade. He is committed to advancing economic development, strengthening national policies, and promoting sustainable opportunities that benefit his constituents and the Republic of Palau.
Delegate Ngirameketii completed his education in the United States, where he earned an Associate of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1987. Upon his return to Palau, he began his public service career with the Ministry of Justice, serving as a Detective and later advancing to the rank of Lieutenant, before being appointed as Director of the Bureau of Marine Law Enforcement. He subsequently served as a member and later Speaker of the Ngiwal State Legislature, and was elected Governor of Ngiwal State, where he served two consecutive terms from 2012 to 2020. He now brings his extensive experience in law enforcement, governance, and leadership to advancing national priorities and serving the people of Ngiwal State and the Republic of Palau with dedication, extensive experience, and an unwavering commitment to public service.
